WELCOME TO THE FIRST PSYCHOMETRICS SUMMER SCHOOL
ORGANIZED IN SOFIA, BULGARIA!
The University of Cambridge’s Psychometrics Centre together with OS Bulgaria is organizing a hands-on three-day Summer School for research and development of modern online tests for the average computer-user.
The Summer School in Sofia, Bulgaria aims to raise interest and share knowledge on Item Response Theory (IRT), Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) and the open source online adaptive testing platform - Concerto.
Lectors from the Psychometrics Centre at the University of Cambridge will teach you the necessary methods and show you how to develop an online adaptive test.
During the workshops in the Summer School a lot of emphasis is put on practical skills. Nevertheless, the necessary theoretical introduction to IRT and CAT is illustrated with practical examples and exercises with real data. The tempo is adjusted to the level of participants.
At the end of the workshop, participants will individually go through the entire process of analysing item level data using IRT, building an item bank, and publishing the adaptive test online.
The course is led by the excellent staff of the Psychometrics Centre of the University of Cambridge, including the Concerto authors. Teaching will be in small groups so that participants can make the most of the Summer School activities.
